Keloid Scars

Scars by result from one of a number of conditions such as acne or chicken pox or from surgery and body piercing. Excessive production of scar tissue is called a keloid which can be itchy or painful

Keloids are more common in darker skin types and on certain areas of the body.

There are a number of treatments options to improve unsightly scarring. Scars may be improved with surgical revision, abscission, special dressings, injections, microdermabrasion, fractional resurfacing or standard skin resurfacing.
